My First Blog Post
As I begin writing the rough draft of my first blog post, I cannot help but equate the nervous gut churning anticipation to the first day of school. I was always so excited to begin my new classes, but the newness of everything was a bit scary. The night before the first day was always the worst. Your thoughts would conjure up all kinds of worrisome scenarios. Somehow you would fall asleep, and the first day would be waiting for you when you woke up.
Going to the store and buying school supplies began the drip drop in my mind of the first day of class. I always fancied the idea of a few good Snoopy folders to make everything be okay about starting the new school year. The 64 count crayon box was another incredible addition to my backpack. All of those stunning colors with perfect unused points, begging to be pulled out and mixed together to create a masterpiece. Snoopy folders and 64 count crayon boxes are being traded for widgets and blog posts. The masterpiece is being created with mouth watering recipes, images, and stories.
New Beginnings
It does not matter how old you are – new beginnings are scary! Whether you are beginning the new school year, going off to college, or starting a new job, starting something new begins a giant learning curve. Your comfort zone is being rocked, and you find yourself scrambling to get on solid ground. When you have a dream that is coming to fruition, taking the first leap is the hardest part! You have to move forward with blind faith that everything is going to weave together and have just the right amount of sweet, salty, spicy, and rich content.
