Chop Every Color of Pepper That You Can Find!

a rainbow of peppers!
It all gets started with a big skillet pan on the stove top. You are chopping away at the same time that your bullion cube is melting away. Pick your favorite pasta (we like fettuccine) and get that water boiling. I love a mixture of every color pepper that you can find. I especially like the red, orange, and yellow peppers that make this dish as beautiful as it is delicious.
Garlic and Wine Sizzling on the Stove?? TELL ME MORE!!
Suddenly your kitchen is filled the warm and fabulous smell of garlic and wine sizzling with peppers. Everyone in your family will come wandering in the kitchen to see what could smell so yummy! After the peppers are sauteed, a bag of frozen spring peas joins the party. Small strips of ham are added to the mixture for just a minute or two. At last it is time for the magic to happen to pull the entire meal together. Sour cream and grated parmesan cheese are added to create the rich and creamy sauce that oozes between the slightly crunchy vegetables. We rarely have any leftovers of this dinner, because everyone is usually helping themselves to seconds. This is a quick and easy dinner choice, because most of the ingredients are usually on hand in your kitchen.

- Method: stove top
- Cuisine: pasta
Ingredients
One pound box of pasta of your choice – I like fettuccine
1 extra large chicken bullion cube (or 3 small square cubes)
1 – 1-1/2 cups white wine
3–4 large cloves of minced garlic
12 sprigs of thyme stripped
2 tsp white pepper
salt to taste (I usually do not add much because of the chicken bullion cube and ham)
4 – 5 large chopped peppers (I like to use red orange and yellow)
13 oz bag of spring garden peas
1 pound of cooked ham cut into strips
16 oz container of sour cream
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
chopped Italian parsley and additional grated parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
In a large stock pot bring salted water to a boil and add pasta of your choice, cooking al dente
In a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 extra large chicken bullion cube to 1 cup of water, stirring occasionally until bullion cube is completely dissolved
Add minced garlic being careful to stir the bottom of the pan so that it does not burn
Raise the heat to medium high and add the white wine – until liquid is reduced by 1/2
Meanwhile chop the peppers and cut the ham into strips
When liquid is reduced, lower the heat to medium and add the peppers, thyme, and white pepper, cooking for a few minutes
Empty frozen pea bag and cook until warmed through
Add ham strips and cook until warmed through
Add sour cream and stir until well mixed
Drain al dente pasta and immediately add to skillet
Continue to cook on medium heat, making sure all of the ingredients are well mixed
Serve in a large pasta bowl or put in individual serving bowls
Top with chopped Italian parsley and additional grated parmesan cheese
